Bride to be!

This was for a bridal shower and I love this cake.... it felt really carefree and fun. I think in retrospect I would not do the big flowers on top but more of the little ones.
Congratulations Alyssa!!!

Happy Birthday Alyssa!

Loved this cake.... just a fun one, pretty and bright. The top tier was Lemon, the bottom tier was Red Velvet. It is hard to see but the tops of the tiers are covered with sparkling sugar!

Easter Egg Cupcakes!

I have been thinking about this idea for months, ever since my Mother in Law gave me a egg shaped cupcake pan. These are filled with a whipped buttercream filling- I think it's my favorite part!, and covered with a thin layer of buttercream and then ganache to give it that glossy finish. Topped with pink, yellow and purple flowers. Happy Easter!

Baptism Cupcakes!

Great Day for CC!
I love these gorgeous cupcakes stands!! (or candle stands but really better for cupcakes!) Her mom made the room just beautiful for CC's special day. We were so glad to be there and part of it. My favorite part was when Cecilee was singing with her cousins, so beautiful!

Once again- terrible pics but here they are!

Congratulations!

Some of the roses done for a wedding reception, the Lammi family added a new member! These were devils food with peanut butter btb, I also did white roses on top of red velvet cupcakes to go with but forgot to take a picture. (you know me and my MAD photography skills.....) The reception was beautiful as was the bride!

Oh Baby!

Here is a little picture of the party display!
This was so much fun- it was ordered for a mom of boys that is expecting a girl!
The theme for the shower was vintage barbie (!!!) and I loved how this cake turned out.
This was a 9" 5 layer red velvet cake with a 6" 5 layer topper.

Angels we have heard......

This was a very cute idea- My friend wanted to take something to the girls that watch her kids everyday at the gym and so she wanted a Guardian Angel theme. (She made a matching card to go with it!) The first angels were sweet but we thought the lips made them SASSY! The wings are made out of white chocolate because I love the different textures and I alternated the chocolate cupcake angels with Red Velvet and Peppermint. I LOVED this order and how it turned out. These were done on Mini cupcakes.

Baby Boy on the way...

I loved how this cake turned out. Who doesn't love polka dots? And babies? And eating cake?

side view to appreciate the polka dots!
This was a 5 layer chocolate cake with chocolate ganache and vanilla pastry cream filling. The whole thing was covered in BTB vanilla. (And weighed 15 pounds.)
Congratulations Collie Family!

Pumpkins Pumpkins

Tis the season-MY FAVORITE SEASON, I love fall and anything related- I got a request for a Pumpkin themed baby shower- So cute! I loved coming up with these. Took a few tries to figure out how to get the swoop just right and not all over the place! I was going to make fondant stems but Costco was sampling these apple licorices (YUM!!!) and they work just perfectly.

These will make ANY occasion a squash- I mean SMASH! (I crack myself up)

These are available in regular or jumbo sized. (maybe mini too- I have to try it out!)
I just love these!!
This is a jumbo in its box.

They can be made on any flavor but these ones are pumpkin spice with a cake pop on top, then covered with BTB vanilla frosting and of course SPRINKLES!

LIttle Birds

This was another large Tuscan Cream Cake and the invite for the shower had these cute fat little birds on it- so I put them on top of the cake- The little bird was the trickiest (is that a word?) the chocolate was drying so fast it was a race to try and get the other colors in!
Happy Baby Ilene!
Once again- note my MAD photography skills.......  when I can wake my husband up off the couch I will get him to show me how to post the birds on the actual invite picture.

Mini Mouse Party!

Mini Mouse party for a little 2 year old- sweet (no pun intended) cupcakes! I love how the cupcakes tie in with Mini's bow and heart. Mini originally was going to go on the cake but she ended up being big enough to be all by herself. More details in the post below......

Mini

Mini with a few of the cupcakes.

This is a 6" 4 layer cake

I started out planning to put her ON the cake but this is what worked.

More Babies!

A friend threw a baby shower for 2 moms to be and one mother is expecting twins- the pictures are not the best! Would have tried to get better ones but I was running late because the baby "blankets" kept wanting to slide off the cupcakes. So the little hearts on the cupcakes are disguised pretzel sticks that I put in to hold the babies in place! :)
Then for the mini cupcakes; flowers, teddy bears and bottles. I love baby showers! My friend is going to send me better pictures, right Melissa? hint hint!

BASEBALL!

Another Baby (SWEET LITTLE TAVIN!!!) was the reason for these fun cupcakes- his parents decorated his room with a sport theme, (and it looks STRAIGHT out of baby dream rooms catalog!) and his dad is a baseball player so of course, a lot of fun with this one! Couldnt help going a little overboard... The large baseballs are "cake pops" (thanks Bakerella!) that I lined with red chocolate, and the little baseballs are dutch mints. It was a long night putting all those stripes on but I loved the way they turned out.

Babies Babies Babies!

Baby showers are so fun because there are ENDLESS ideas and things to do for them. On this one I did use fondant but made sure there was a LOT of good frosting underneath! The baby boy with the bears I made for my friends Teacher who is leaving to have a baby. The children in the class get the bear and bottle cupcakes while the teacher gets the big one :)
