Sesame Street... I mean "TY's Street!"

Of course, this was a complete labor of love. My youngest just turned 3 and I let him decide everything that needed to go on his cake, down to the little triangles Elmo and Cookie were holding. As we talked about his cake he kept signing all three characters and would wait for confirmation before smiling in relief.
I have been wanting to do an Elmo cake and of course, the fact that this cake STAYED HOME and we got to cut into it made it so much more exciting for all the kids!

Happy Birthday Tybo!!! We love you!!

Bride to be!

This was for a bridal shower and I love this cake.... it felt really carefree and fun. I think in retrospect I would not do the big flowers on top but more of the little ones.
Congratulations Alyssa!!!

Girl Girl Girl Cake!

If this cake isn't all girl then I dont know what is. This was for Mady and she has just as sparkly a personality as her cake was!
This was a 5 layer chocolate cake with cookies and cream filling.

Yo Ho Yo Ho a Pirate Cake for me!

This was a lot of fun! I had been wanting to do a pirate cake for awhile, and was thrilled to do it for a 5 year old- wish I could have seen his face!

Tall and Pretty

This was for a 20th anniversary, I love this rose pattern, it is so versatile and it makes a cake just so pretty. This was a 5 layer chocolate cake with vanilla filling. Happy Anniversary Deb!

Daddy's little helper

My friend made these cute invites to her daughter Kami's birthday party. It was based on the fact that Kami loves to get in the baby carrier and ride along while Dad mows the lawn!
So this is the cake I came up with to go along with the theme...

Feeling Tropical!

These were two different events- the cupcakes were for teachers appreciation in El Dorado Hills, they were doing a Hawaiian theme.

The cake was for Erica who was just graduating from High School and has been accepted to BYU Hawaii!! Her mom chose an Italian Cream Cake with Strawberry cream filling and White Choc BTB. I based the cake on a lei that her mom had picked out to give her at graduation!

Spring!

I have been wanting to do a bright yellow cake for a long time and when I got a call for a work birthday party it was the perfect time to make one!

Hard to see the name because it is so big around, but it said Alyson, I love the jumbo letters! The bottom of the cake is circled with my favorite thing from Costco lately, Lemoncello almonds (!!!!) Almonds covered in white chocolate and lemon coating.

Happy Birthday Alyssa!

Loved this cake.... just a fun one, pretty and bright. The top tier was Lemon, the bottom tier was Red Velvet. It is hard to see but the tops of the tiers are covered with sparkling sugar!

Feeling Groovy!

This was a great day! My childhood best friend from Elementary School called me up and ordered a cake for her daughters 16th birthday. It was so fun to see you Melanie!
Loved the feel of this cake, left me happy and feeling groovy. 6" 5 layer cake with cupcakes to match.

Happy Birthday Bethany!

Roaring Good Time!

This 8 year old was having a jungle themed party and Lions (!!) are her favorite animal... Happy Birthday Riley!

This was a 9" 3 layer cake with fondant and molding chocolate for the Lion face and beads around the bottom. I thought that the frosted mane could also be a template for a big sunflower cake!

Fit for a Queen

This was for a friends birthday- she happens to be nuts about Peanut Butter, this is a 4 layer chocolate cake filled with peanut butter cream and peanut butter frosting, then covered with Peanut Butter frosting and chopped peanuts. Then I put a layer of chopped Reece's Peanut Butter cups on top and covered it with Roses and a crown filled with mini pb cups. Yes she really likes peanut butter- (I do too maybe that is why I went so crazy :))

Just Cake!

This was a Devils Food cake-, every time I make these 12" inch cakes I am still suprised at how big they are, I wanted to try and give size perspective with the water bottle :)

Sweet 16

This one was a smaller cake based on the pink and black two tiered cake I had done earlier. This was a 5 layer 6" Red Velvet made to go with the black and tourquoise theme. (Stripes are fondant and the blue is molding chocolate.) The birthday girl also served minis with it- Happy Birthday Miss Smith!
