Bride to be!

This was for a bridal shower and I love this cake.... it felt really carefree and fun. I think in retrospect I would not do the big flowers on top but more of the little ones.

Daddy's little helper

My friend made these cute invites to her daughter Kami's birthday party. It was based on the fact that Kami loves to get in the baby carrier and ride along while Dad mows the lawn! 
So this is the cake I came up with to go along with the theme...

This was a ballet/pink themed little 4 year old party! She wanted pink cake so pink cake she got :)

Feeling Tropical!

These were two different events- the cupcakes were for teachers appreciation in El Dorado Hills, they were doing a Hawaiian theme.

The cake was for Erica who was just graduating from High School and has been accepted to BYU Hawaii!! Her mom chose an Italian Cream Cake with Strawberry cream filling and White Choc BTB. I based the cake on a lei that her mom had picked out to give her at graduation!

Spring!

I have been wanting to do a bright yellow cake for a long time and when I got a call for a work birthday party it was the perfect time to make one!

Hard to see the name because it is so big around, but it said Alyson, I love the jumbo letters! The bottom of the cake is circled with my favorite thing from Costco lately, Lemoncello almonds (!!!!) Almonds covered in white chocolate and lemon coating.

Great Day for CC!
I love these gorgeous cupcakes stands!! (or candle stands but really better for cupcakes!) Her mom made the room just beautiful for CC's special day. We were so glad to be there and part of it. My favorite part was when Cecilee was singing with her cousins, so beautiful!

Feeling Groovy!

This was a great day! My childhood best friend from Elementary School called me up and ordered a cake for her daughters 16th birthday. It was so fun to see you Melanie!
Loved the feel of this cake, left me happy and feeling groovy. 6" 5 layer cake with cupcakes to match.

Friends of the NICU

I am way behind with post for the blog but I had some CRAZY weeks. I was so excited to be involved with the charity event for Friends of the NICU (www.friendsofnicu.org) and it was a fabulous event put on by the founders Elanie and Tim Purkis. We had to empty out a gorilla rack in order to hold all the cupcakes for that weekend. 350 for the NICU event and then another almost 300 for soccer party orders, a church event and a baby shower.

I didnt get pictures of just the regular cupcakes (!!!) but the big boxes in the photo hold 70 cupcakes each. The garage fridge was also full. I cant remember how many batches of frosting I made- it's all a blur.

Flower Pot Garden

I wish these would just stay like this forever- I would use them to decorate my window sill :) The red ribbon runs underneath each cupcake so the owner can use it to pull the cupcake out.

Sunflowers!

Made with lemon flavored fondant- I loved making these- reminded me of my mission in France where I saw fields and FIELDS of these gorgeous flowers! Bonjour!

Yellow Rose of Texas

When I got an order for these for Mothers Day from a lady whose mother is from Texas, I realized how addicting rose making is. As you make petal after petal you kind of go into a trance- she only needed two so when I finished I felt like..... it just wasn't enough! I love the yellow with the green sugar. Thanks Annette for your order!

Daisys

I just love Daisys, one of my very favorite flowers. These were for a Mothers Day celebration at church and I just had to put a picture up.

Double Decker!

This was like a mini cake in a box! Two layers of chocolate cupcake, frosted all around and topped with my favorite white chocolate butter cream. My goddaughter is crazy for pink so we did the pink flowers. I hoped her teachers liked them!

Whew!

Finished my Easter orders! Crazy because I thought my husband would be inside helping with kids instead of outside but oh well.. I do want grass someday out there so I am supporting his dirt shoveling!

I added purple to these orders, fun for Easter but i think now I almost prefere just the pink and yellow and green. But they were all fun to do! Some of the boxes not pictured had pink paper lining them, love the bright color.

Spring Time Flowers!

These were regular cupcakes for a birthday party- I am going to be making mini flower ones this week so I will post those pictures later. I love the flowers, I was so glad to have a reason to make them!

Oldie but Goodie

This is a cake i did for Natalies 1st birthday! I love the mix of flowers. Once again- fonadant flowers are not yummy but I just made sure the cake and frosting were good :)
