Easter Egg Cupcakes!

I have been thinking about this idea for months, ever since my Mother in Law gave me a egg shaped cupcake pan. These are filled with a whipped buttercream filling- I think it's my favorite part!, and covered with a thin layer of buttercream and then ganache to give it that glossy finish. Topped with pink, yellow and purple flowers. Happy Easter!

Easter is on its way!

Baptism Cupcakes!

Great Day for CC!
I love these gorgeous cupcakes stands!! (or candle stands but really better for cupcakes!) Her mom made the room just beautiful for CC's special day. We were so glad to be there and part of it. My favorite part was when Cecilee was singing with her cousins, so beautiful!

Once again- terrible pics but here they are!

Feeling Groovy!

This was a great day! My childhood best friend from Elementary School called me up and ordered a cake for her daughters 16th birthday. It was so fun to see you Melanie!
Loved the feel of this cake, left me happy and feeling groovy. 6" 5 layer cake with cupcakes to match.

Happy Birthday Bethany!

Roaring Good Time!

This 8 year old was having a jungle themed party and Lions (!!) are her favorite animal... Happy Birthday Riley!

This was a 9" 3 layer cake with fondant and molding chocolate for the Lion face and beads around the bottom. I thought that the frosted mane could also be a template for a big sunflower cake!

Wedding Reception!

Are you sick of roses yet? I am not! These were to welcome a new member into the Lammi family, they had Red Velvet with white roses and these were devils food with peanut butter frosting roses tinted pink.....
Congratulations Lammi family!

Fit for a Queen

This was for a friends birthday- she happens to be nuts about Peanut Butter, this is a 4 layer chocolate cake filled with peanut butter cream and peanut butter frosting, then covered with Peanut Butter frosting and chopped peanuts. Then I put a layer of chopped Reece's Peanut Butter cups on top and covered it with Roses and a crown filled with mini pb cups. Yes she really likes peanut butter- (I do too maybe that is why I went so crazy :))

Birthdays are great at any age!

Rapunzel from Tangled!

This was a cake for Sophie, who was having a "Tangled" themed birthday party and her Mom let me just go with whatever vision I could come up with. Sophie is the sweetest girl and of course I wanted her to LOVE her cake. This is also one of my favorite disney movies now!
Looking at pictures makes me realize that I need to figure out the basics behind molding faces- Mouths are the hardest! I guess this will always be a work in progress...

This is a 3 layer 9 in cake topped with a 4 layer 6" cake/tower and the tower room itself was all rice crispies and fondant. When I finished the roof I just wasn't thrilled with it but I didnt have time to make all the tiles to "roof" it but then.... sparkly sugar makes everything. The house and roof could be done way more professionally, next time I do a building structure I will plan it out a little better :)
Happy Birthday Sophie!!!

Of course I had to include the frying pan!

You can see her hair wraps all the way around!

I just got this birthday girl pic!!  So fun....
